There is probably no special diet that can be used to treat rheumatoid arthritis
(RA), and it is just as unlikely that there is a specific food that is able to make the symptoms
of RA better or worse. However, a healthy diet emphasizing whole grains, fruits, and vegetables
can help people with RA maintain their overall health. Eating a healthy diet can also help to control their weight. This may be
especially important for people with RA, as excess weight puts added stress on joints in the
feet, knees, hips, and neck.
As always, please consult your physician before
starting any diet regimen.
